GMT Lighting will give you an estimated delivery date/time in good faith, but we are unable to accept liability for delay in delivering the goods which is beyond our reasonable control (e.g. if stock is unavailable, extreme weather). You must ensure there is clear and safe access for delivery. Please ensure there is a person present at the delivery premises who is authorised by you to accept delivery. If there is not, you authorise us to deliver the goods anyway (if we consider it is safe and appropriate to do so). If the delivery contractor arrives at the agreed time but is unable to deliver the goods or considers that it is unsafe or inappropriate to do so, you may be required to pay for re-delivery later, or we may cancel your order and provide you with a refund. We will deposit your goods at ground level at the delivery premises unless you have arranged otherwise with us.

If goods are being collected from our Hawthorn showroom, please collect them within 14 days after we inform you that they are ready for collection. We may need to verify your identity upon collection. Unless you make arrangements with us for late collection, we will assume you have cancelled your order. This means we may resell the goods and you may forfeit any deposit or payment you have made. 

You must pay for all online purchases at the time of online checkout prior to order confirmation, in accordance with one of the payment methods offered on the GMT Lighting website. For orders made by email or phone, invoices must be paid within 30 days of dispatch. If payment is not received by the due date, a 10% interest charge will apply, and GMT Lighting may also suspend any other orders without prejudice to any other action.

GMT Lighting reserves the right of ownership of all goods supplied until payment of the invoiced amount has been paid in full.

In addition to manufacturers' guarantees on selected products, if you are a Consumer within the meaning of the Australian Consumer Law, GMT Lighting warrants, in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law, that the Goods are of acceptable quality. All other warranties and representations are excluded, except those which are non-excludable in law, including the Australian Consumer Law. Warranty period on all products is from date of purchase of the original product only, not when any product is repaired or replaced. • Our liability to you is limited to refunding the price, replacing or repairing the relevant goods

• We will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss

• We will not be liable for damage, loss or injury suffered as a result of any person failing to follow instructions relating to the goods, modifying them, failing to appropriately maintain or store them or using them for an unintended purpose

• Customers must inspect the goods upon taking delivery and any shortage, discrepancy, defect, wrong specification or other problem must be notified to GMT Lighting within 14 days of collection or delivery

Any goods returned must be covered by a formal agreement between GMT Lighting and the purchaser. This agreement must be arranged within 14 days of the original invoice date otherwise the claim cannot be accepted. Some goods, including custom made goods are non-returnable unless a warranty or guarantee is breached. Goods are always returned at the purchaser’s expense and risk. The goods must be returned in the original packaging, resellable and must not have been subjected to any modification. To be eligible for a refund on a faulty product, you need the authorisation of GMT Lighting staff, your receipt or picking slip, and your purchased item must be unused and in the original packaging. Products are transported at the risk of the purchaser, whose responsibility is in the event of damage or missing items, to make all the necessary reports in writing and send it to us within 14 days of receiving the goods.

Where you arrange for a third party to install goods supplied by us, you must contract separately with that third party. GMT Lighting will not be liable for any installation services provided by a third party.
